A woman from Madhya Pradesh is seeking a divorce from her husband for taking her to Ayodhya instead of in Goa.

Media reports suggest that the woman approached the Bhopal family court on January 19 after the couple returned from their trip.

The woman in the divorce petition has claimed that her husband is currently working in the IT sector and receives a good salary. Since, she is also a working woman and earns well, going abroad for their honeymoon was not an issue for them. The two had decided on Goa or other places in South India for their honeymoon.

However, the woman's husband insisted on visiting locations in India instead of taking trips abroad.

The trouble started when the husband booked flights to Ayodhya and Varanasi, without informing his wife. She got to know about this sudden change just a day before the trip. The husband said that they are visiting Ayodhya to complete his mother's wish.

The wife did not react at that time and went to Varanasi and Ayodhya without any objections. But once they returned, she approached the family court to seek a divorce from her husband.
