Why the story of a KFC dame rider in Lahore is now going viral

Her story is now going viral on social media. Meerab, who studies fashion designing by day and works as a KFC rider by night in Lahore is being lauded online after a city resident shared details about her on Linkedin.

Fizza Ijaz ordered from a KFC outlet and was pleasantly surprised when a woman called up to say she was coming with the order.


"I got so excited that I stood outside the gate to receive her and we (my friends and I) spoke to her for a good 10 minutes about many things including her pursuits, passion and bike riding skills," Ijaz wrote in her post.


The woman delivery agent who reached was Meerab, who is doing an undergraduate degree in fashion designing and does night duty at KFC. She wanted to remain a rider for three more years till she finished her studies.

Ijaz went on to say that Meerab plans to start her own fashion brand after her studies. "More power to her! May we see more Pakistani girls ride off to adventures their hearts desire," she wrote.

Ijaz may have thought it an oddity in Pakistan, but a promotional video by KFC in 2019 already showed it has a few 'Dame Riders' Working in Lahore.
