IAS officer Tina Dabi is facing backlash on social media after a video from the official function during the Republic Day celebrations in Rajasthan's Barmer gained traction on social media. During the R-Day celebrations, Tina Dhabi unfurled the tricolour as scheduled but a split-second moment put her under intense scrutiny. As she stood to salute, she faced the wrong direction, a moment captured by cameras instantly. Tina Dani paused for a brief second, sensing something was off. A nearby security personnel immediately gestured towards the correct orientation, following which Dabi promptly adjusted her position and completed the formal salute, the viral video shows.

The 30-second clip rapidly spread online and sparked various reactions on social media. On X, one post read, “UPSC Topper IAS Tina Dabi ji at the Republic Day flag hoisting ceremony at Barmer collectorate office,” and the video quickly gained traction. While some netizens termed it a “protocol violation”, with comments such as “That lousy salute”, some laughed it off as an honest mistake. One comment joked about “forgetting the basics after studying 18 hours a day,” while another simply called it “shameless.” Some people even criticised Tina Dabi that such slips are inappropriate during national events.
