Why is the internet so amused with this 66-year-old fridge

An advertisement for a Frigidaire from 1956 is going viral online. The black-and-white advertisement was shared on Twitter by a page named Lost in History.

So what makes this fridge so special?

Netizens are impressed by this fridge because it came with many compartments. The door of the fridge had separate sections for bottles, cheese and even butter. It also had a detachable compartment for fruits and vegetables. Not only this, the shelves could be rolled over all the way to the front. It also contained an ice-cube ejector!
