In 2000, JP Dutta's Refugee, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor, was released. The movie centered around a love story between Indian guy and a Pakistani woman. Fast forward, 23 years, a somewhat similar story is being played out, but in real life.

A Pakistani woman, Seema Haider, was recently arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police for illegally entering India earlier his month.

Cops even arrested two others, Sachin and Netrapal, for sheltering an illegal immigrant.

Later it was found out that Seema entered India illegally to marry her lover Sachin Meena, a resident of Greater Noida. The two had become friends while playing online game PUBG.

The 30-year-old Pakistani woman and her Indian partner, around 25, were later granted bail by a court in Uttar Pradesh's Greater Noida.

Later on July 4, Sachin and Seema confessed their love for each other in front of the media and police, urging the government to allow them to get married and stay together in India.

Twist in the tale
A recent twist has added a new layer of complexity to the situation. Mumbai Police recently got a call from an unidentified person who threatned to 26/11 like terror attack if Seema Haider did not return to her country.

As per reports, the call was received by the Mumbai police traffic control room on July 12, 2023 The caller, who was speaking in Chaste Urdu, reportedly said that there would be potential terror attacks similar to the devastating 26/11 Mumbai attacks. According to reports, the call was made through an app, and the police were trying to track down the IP address of the caller.
