Who is Raj Nidimoru? The 'Family Man' director who married Samantha Ruth Prabhu in a secret ceremony

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and 'The Family Man' director Raj Nidimoru are in headlines once again after the two reportedly tied the knot on Monday morning in a low-key and private ceremony. A source told Hindustan Times that Raj Nidimou and Samantha got married at the Ling Bhairavi Temple inside Isha Yoga Centre early morning with 30 guests in attendance. "The wedding happened at the Ling Bhairavi Temple inside Isha Yoga Centre early morning. Samantha wore a red saree for the wedding," the source added.

The actress took to her Instagram to share a series of pictures in which she can be seen wearing a red saree. Raj Nidimoru was seen in a traditional attire and the couple shared wide smiles on their faces. She captioned the post with today's dates along with two white hearts.

Rumours about Raj and Samantha's growing closeness had emerged in early 2024. The actress had also posted pictures with Raj Nidimoru on her social media accounts. The two sparked dating rumours when the filmmaker was spotted at the World Pickleball League match in February with Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who owns the team Chennai Super Champs.

Who is Raj Nidimoru?

According to a report in Times of India, Raj Nidimoru is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter and producer who makes up half of the ‘Raj & D.K.’ duo. Nidimoru is a well-known personality in the entertainment industry, who is renowned to craft sharp, character-driven stories and bring untold stories not just to the big screens but also to OTT platforms.

With films like ‘Shor in the City,’ ‘Cinema Bandi,’ and ‘Unpaused,’ with many others, and series like ‘The Family Man,’ ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny,’ ‘Farzi,’ among others, Raj & D.K. have carved a niche for themselves in the film industry.

Raj Nidimoru was born in Andhra Pradesh's Tirupati and studied at the SVU College of Engineering. Later on, he moved to the United States of America for completing his education further. The duo transitioned from tech careers to filmmaking and their first feature film, 99 (2009), marked the beginning of their journey as directors.
