In a historic moment, Sheynnis Alondra Palacios Cornejo, now widely known as Sheynnis Palacios, secured the title of Miss Universe, etching her name in history as the first Nicaraguan woman to achieve this prestigious crown. A prominent Nicaraguan model with a track record of beauty pageant victories, Palacios showcased her exceptional potential, grace, and intelligence on the global stage.

Before her groundbreaking win at the Miss Universe 2023 contest on November 19, Palacios represented Nicaragua as Miss World Nicaragua 2020 in the Miss World 2021 competition. Her notable performance earned her a commendable placement among the Top 40 contestants, highlighting her prominence in the international beauty pageant circuit.

Palacios embarked on her modeling and pageant journey at a young age, securing the title of Miss Teen Nicaragua in 2016. On the grand finale stage of Miss Universe 2023, she captivated audiences with her stunning appearance in an embellished silver gown, radiating beauty, elegance, and divine femininity. Paired with the gown was a shiny blue cape, a tribute to her home country, Nicaragua, featuring its white and blue flag.


With a substantial following on Instagram, boasting nearly 651,000 followers, Sheynnis Palacios has also gained fame as a TikTok celebrity.

During the question-and-answer segment, Palacios was asked, "If you could live one year in another woman's shoes, who would you choose and why?"

"I would choose Mary Wollstonecraft because she opened the gap and allowed many women. I would want that gap to open up so that more women could work in any area they choose to work in because there is no area where women could not work in," she answered.

Her victory at Miss Universe adds another layer to her image as the perfect blend of beauty and intelligence.
