Who is Goldy Brar, who took responsibility for killing Dera follower & Sidhu Moosewala

Pardeep Singh, a Dera Sacha Sauda follower, was shot dead on Thursday by five unidentified assailants in Punjab's Faridkot district. Goldy Brar, a gangster who is currently believed to be in Canada, has allegedly taken responsibility for the murder. Brar is also accused of hatching the plot to kill Punjabi popular singer Sidhu Moosewala.

In a Facebook post in Punjabi, Brar said he murdered Pardeep as three governments couldn't bring Singh to justice. He said whoever disrespects any religion will face the same consequences.

Pardeep was one of the accused in a case of theft of a 'bir' (copy) of the Guru Granth Sahib in 2015 in Faridkot and was currently on bail. He was shot dead when he was opening his dairy shop in Kotkapura..


Who is Gangster Goldy Brar?
Goldy Brar, a native of Sri Muktsar Sahib, is a close ally of gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi, who is also suspected in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.

According to some reports Goldy Brar's full name is Satwinderjit Singh. He was born in 1994 and is a BA graduate. He currently lives in Canada and operates remotely from there through a module in Punjab.

Brar has several cases of murder, attempted murder, extortion and multiple criminal proceedings pending against him. A Faridpur court had also issued an open-ended non-bailable arrest warrant for Brar in connection with the killing of Youth Congress leader Gurlal Singh Pehalwan.

Goldy Brar’s cousin Gurlal Brar was murdered outside a disc in Chandigarh last year. Gurlal was a close aide of Bishnoi. Bishnoi’s gang had allegedly murdered Youth Congress leader Gurlal Pahalwan to avenge his death.
Soon afterward, he reportedly fled to Canada in 2021. Brar went to Canada on a student visa in 2017.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, also known as Sidhu Moose Wala, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in May in Jawaharke village, Mansa district. He was killed when he, along with his friend and cousin, was travelling in a jeep to Jawahar Ke village in Mansa. Six shooters waylaid and sprayed bullets on him.

The incident happened two days after Punjab Police dropped security for 424 people, including Sidhu Moose Wala.

Sidhu Moose Wala, a Congress candidate from Mansa, was defeated by AAP contender Vijay Singla in this year's Punjab assembly election.
