Replaces outgoing commissioner Bhushan Gagrani

Bhide succeeds Bhushan Gagrani, who is set to retire from service on Tuesday, March 31, after completing his tenure as BMC Commissioner.

Prior to her new role, Bhide was serving as Additional Chief Secretary in the Chief Minister’s Office under Devendra Fadnavis.

She has built a reputation for strong administrative skills and decisive leadership across key government functions in Maharashtra.

Experience in major infrastructure projects

As per reports, Bhide has previously held several important positions, including serving as Managing Director of the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation, where she oversaw major infrastructure initiatives.
