Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw announced his engagement to girlfriend Akriti Agarwal on March 8, sharing photos of the proposal on social media. The pictures show the couple celebrating the moment while wearing matching engagement rings.

Shaw captioned the post: “From sixes on the field to a lifetime of hits off it. She's my perfect innings! #justengaged.” The announcement quickly drew congratulatory messages from fans and fellow cricketers, including his Indian Premier League franchise Delhi Capitals.

Shaw, who made headlines after scoring a century on his Test debut in 2018, has experienced a mixed run in recent years. The Mumbai batter faced challenges with fitness and form, which led to his omission from Mumbai’s squad in 2024. After going unsold in the 2025 IPL auction, Shaw was later picked up by Delhi Capitals for ?75 lakh ahead of the IPL 2026 season.
