Who is actor Sana Javed? Here is everything you need to know about Shoaib Malik's new wife

Pakistan's cricket star Shoaib Malik on Saturday surprised everyone by announcing his new marriage to popular actor Sana Javed.

Sana and Shaoib shared images from their 'Nikaah' ceremony with the caption, "And We created you in pairs".

Since the announcement of their marriage, the actor has changed her name on her social media platforms to Sana Shoaib Malik.


Who is Sana Javed?
A prominent Pakistani actor renowned for her roles in Urdu television dramas, she made her debut in 2012 with "Shehr-e-Zaat." In this drama, she played alongside Mahira Khan as lead.

But it was her serial "Khaani' that earned her a Lux Style Awards nomination. Her notable performances in social dramas like "Ruswai" and "Dunk" have only solidified her standing in the entertainment industry.

Before Shoaib Malik, Sana Javed tied the knot with Pakistani actor and singer-songwriter Umair Jaswal in 2020, in an intimate Nikah ceremony, media reports suggested. But the two started living separately shortly after their intimate marriage.

Sana Javed is currently working in the romantic drama "Sukoon," directed by Seraj ul Haq. With Ahsan Khan, Khaqan Shahnawaz, Sidra Niazi, Usman Peerzada, Laila Wasti, Qudsia Ali, Adnan Samad Khan, Aehsun Talish, and Asma Abbas, the drama revolves around the pursuit of peace and contentment after enduring an extended period of waiting and navigating life's challenges.

Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza divorced?
India's tennis icon Sania Mirza had earlier hinted at separation from the former Pakistan cricketer through a cryptic post.

In April 2010, Shoaib and Sania got married in Mirza's hometown Hyderabad and have been staying in Dubai ever since. They announced the birth of their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, in 2018.

However, strong rumours since 2022 suggested that differences between Shoaib and Sania led to a split, and they have rarely been seen together in the last couple of years.

The two separated through khula which in Islam means the right of a woman to divorce and it means separation from her husband, PTI reported quoting a family source.

Just a few days back Malik also unfollowed the Indian star on Instagram.
