Rajkummar Rao reveals reason behind sindoor ceremony in his wedding

After 10 years of dating each other, Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao have been married for a year now. On 16 November last year, the couple got married in Chandigarh in a small ceremony.

Even though the wedding ceremony in itself was gorgeous, the sindoor moment was what got everyone's attention. Patralekhaa also filled his maang with vermillion before Rajkummar applied sindoor to her. Speaking about the endearing and memorable act, Rajkummar claimed that it was his idea.

On a recent episode of Social Media Star with Janice, the actor revealed the reason behind the act. Rajkummar revealed during the conversation that his performances in Monica O My Darling and Badhaai Do had received a lot of positive feedback.


Many folks were genuinely helped by Badhaai Do. He said that he felt extremely strong about it. Since so many boys and girls, who were secretive, lacked the courage to talk to their family, messaged that they had taken their parents to the movie. The actor said with a smile that after the end of the movie, when they talked to their families, their families happily accepted them.
