When is Ganesh Jayanti 2023, on January 24 or 25? Here is shubh muhurat, how to perform puja

Ganesh Jayanti is considered as one of the most auspicious days among hindus as Lord Ganesha was born on this day. As per Hindu beliefs, Lord Ganesh, the son of Lod Shiv and Godess parvati, was born on the fourth day of the Shukla paksh of Magh month of hindu calendar. The day or tithi is known as Magh Shukla Chaturthi or Magh Vinayak Chaturthi.

According to the Panchang, Magh Shukla Chaturthi Tithi is will start from 03:22 PM on January 24. The tithi will end on 12:34 PM on January 25.

The tithi is considered auspicious on the day of sunrise. So Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on January 25.

Importance of Ganesh Jayanti:
This year, the Raj Panchak has fallen on the day of Ganesh Jayanti. Raj Panchak is considered auspicious time to give good luck. The Panchak which starts on Monday is called Raj Panchak.

This year, Ravi Yoga is also falling on Ganesh Jayanti. It is considered, Ravi Yoga removes evil and bestows auspiciousness. Ravi Yoga is starting from 07:13 am to 08:05 pm on that day.

It is believed that devotees should complete Ganesh Jayanti during Ravi Yoga and Parigha Yoga.
