WhatsApp’s new ‘Kept Messages’ feature is out, here’s how it works
WhatsApp is introducing a new feature known as ‘Kept Messages’, which allows you to save messages in a group conversation.

According to reports, the new ‘Kept Messages’ function will be useful for users who wish to save certain messages from being accessible permanently for everyone in a group conversation.
If you keep a disappearing message, it will remain in the conversation even after it expires. However, everyone in the group will have control over these communications, and they may be erased at any moment. If you wish to check these messages later, the ‘Kept Messages’ section might be useful.
The new Kept Messages feature is currently accessible for selected chosen beta testers who use WhatsApp Business (v2.23.4.10).
As per reports, the functionality was detected in the newest WhatsApp beta for iOS 23.3.0.73 version. According to reports, WhatsApp will include an introductory page to explain when the transcription is unavailable. Transcripts will not be provided if no words are identified in the voice note or if the language is set to a different language.
Reportedly, voice note transcription on WhatsApp would always be done locally on the smartphone. Users may be prompted to download language packs, which are never shared with WhatsApp or Apple. This implies that the message’s content will be restricted to you alone. However, the feature may be limited to newer iOS versions.
In other developments, WhatsApp is apparently working on a new feature that would allow WhatsApp desktop users to exchange original-quality photographs and movies. Users will be able to transmit photographs in their original resolution and clarity thanks to the new functionality.
