WhatsApp users may soon get access to a new text editor within the drawing tool. WhatsApp has begun to distribute a new version via the Google Play Beta Program. The update raises the app's version to 2.23.3.4 and indicates that the Facebook-owned messaging network is working on a revamped text editor.

WhatsApp intends to add three new tools to its drawing editor. The first feature allows users to rapidly switch between fonts by touching one of the font selections displayed above the keyboard. It will function exactly like Snapchat.

The second feature is text alignment freedom. This feature allows users to align text to the left, centre, or right, providing them more flexibility over text formatting in photographs, videos, and GIFs.


The third feature would allow users to modify the backdrop of the text, making it simpler to distinguish critical content. The new text editor is presently in development and will be included in a future programme version.

It was reported last week that the messaging platform was working on a new feature that would allow users to exchange photographs in their original resolution.

The platform intends to incorporate a new setting icon under the drawing tool header that will allow users to customise the quality of any photo, giving them greater control over the quality of images they transmit, particularly when delivering the photo in its original quality is required.
