WhatsApp scammer turns mentor, gives lesson instead of stealing money

Scammers employ various tactics across multiple platforms to deceitfully obtain money, and WhatsApp has become one such platform for their fraudulent activities. The popularity of this messaging app is undeniable, but the concerning rise in scam cases, where unsuspecting individuals are duped, is alarming.

In one particular incident, an attempt to swindle money from a WhatsApp user took an unexpected turn. As soon as the intended victim engaged with the scammers, what was initially a chat aimed at luring money transformed into an unexpected exchange of valuable life lessons and advice. “Namaste, may I have a few minutes of your valuable time?” Then, the user sends an incoherent message saying “I want to make friends”. The scammer tries to further send some messages in order to lure the user. But the victim does not fall for it and sends another incoherent message saying, “That is not two-faced like most people on this planet,” the scammer initiates the conversation.


“I want to make friends that are loyal and not two-faced like most of the people on this planet,” Mahesh replied.
