WhatsApp releases themed app icon to all beta testers on Android 13

Whatsapp has released a themed app icon to all beta testers on Android 13, a report said.

The app rolls out the new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.22.18.16.

Android 13 offers a lot of features to developers. The instant messaging app is working on bringing support for themed app icons.


This feature helps Android to adapt the icon of the app to the current wallpaper or theme.

Whatsapp to add a monochromatic app icon visible to all beta users on Android 13 to support the feature.

The icon looks different when the themed icon option is enabled within system settings on Android 13. The feature is released to all beta users who are using Android 13 and the latest version of the app.

WhatsApp has also released an undo feature to recover deleted messages. Users will have only a few seconds to restore the deleted messages.

More activations are expected in the coming weeks.
