Many people are now choosing to get their coronavirus vaccination booster dosage delivered in order to improve their immunity against the virus as worries of a new Covid variant - BF.7 - may spread to India as a result of the significant number of cases in China.

Bharat Biotech has recently introduced its intranasal Covid vaccine, which will be given as a booster dose, as concerns about the Covid BF.7 variation causing a fourth wave in India continue to loom. The company has also disclosed the price of the Covid nasal vaccine.

The intranasal Covid vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech, known as iNCOVACC, will initially only be given in private hospitals. According to the manufacturer, the nasal vaccination would cost Rs 800 for private institutions and Rs 325 for national and state governments to purchase in bulk.

It should be emphasised that the needle-free Covid nasal vaccination is exclusively given as a booster dose for the two coronavirus vaccines, Covaxin and Covidshield. The Covid immunity shield cannot be given as a first dose via the nasal vaccination.

Anyone over the age of 18 who has received two doses of Covaxin or Covidshield in the past may get the iNCOVACC nasal vaccination as a booster dose. The interval between the second dosage and the booster dose should be greater than nine months.

Additionally, before receiving the nasal covid booster dosage, anybody with previous medical issues or sensitivities to certain medications should consult with a doctor. The nasal vaccination is anticipated to give protection against the BF.7 subtype.
