Talking about the condition, shestated, "I have been battling with health issues for a long time, and it's been incredibly tough for me to confront these obstacles and speak about all that I've gone through...It kills me to inform you that I won't be ready to resume my European tour in February”.

What is stiff-person syndrome?
Stiff-person syndrome (SPS), also known as Moersch-Woltman syndrome, is a rare, progressive neurological illness that affects the muscles of the torso, arms, and legs, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders. These muscles tighten, and the individual becomes sensitive to noise, touch, and mental discomfort. This may cause muscular cramps.

Celine said that she had neurological issues in her everyday life that prevented her from using her vocal chords like she used to. While the specific etiology of this illness is unknown, it is thought that the disorder emerges when the immune system destroys healthy cells over time. The symptoms include muscular stiffness between the trunk and belly, stooped posture, painful cramps, and unpleasant sleep.

As Celine stated in her emotional video, this very rare condition affects one in a million people and damages the body's central nervous system. While the exact cause of SPS is unknown, research has shown that it is the consequence of an immune reaction gone wrong between the brain and the spinal cord.
