The woman was thrown off her scooter when the right door of a parked car opened without any warning. Almost immediately she goes under the wheels of a car which was following behind her.
"Before opening the door of your car on public roads, make sure to check in the side or rear -view mirror for vehicles coming from behind to avoid such accidents. Be mindful and careful! #roadsafety #rules #safety #drive #drivesafe #traffic," the Karnataka State Road Safety Authority tweeted.

The clip ended with the car stopping with her still caught under it and the driver getting out to check . People standing nearby are also seen rushing to help.
"The person who opened doors should be arrested and charged with attempt to murder," said a user.
"It's basic knowledge that you need to see if any vehicle is coming before turning right or before opening door," said a user
"Absolutely right, but unfortunately common sense is not very common," replied another.
Others pointed out more things which showed a disregard for road safety.
