Ganga is the most sacred river for Hindus, and people from around the world throng the pilgrimage site to take a dip into the holy water. However, the adventurous, or rather a daring stunt of an elderly woman have left people shocked, as she did something that even youngsters would not do.

There is a saying that age is just a number, especially when it comes to performing physical activities, and the fearless act of this woman is proof of that. The video of the entire feat has gone viral on social media sites and has been attracting mixed reactions from people.

In the viral video shot in Haridwar from Har Ki Pauri Ghat, a 70-year-old woman can be seen jumping from a bridge into the river Ganga. The woman crosses the fence of the bridge, which is of a substantial height, before audaciously diving into the river. Even though the stunt is jaw-dropping for many, it was like a cakewalk for the elderly woman as she dove into the river and swam across, without breaking a sweat.

Many people who watched this live can be seen cheering for her in the video. Netizens bombarded the post with various comments. While some users hailed the courageous act of the woman, others were concerned about her safety, as this could have landed her in a serious injury, or even death.

One said ‘Amma is fearless’, while another wrote ‘the elderly woman should have been careful’.
