The chain of events commenced as Yadav arrived in Delhi with the objective of procuring apples from the well-known Azadpur Mandi in the capital.
Yadav's friend, identified as Ajay, had arranged for a taxi to pick him up from the airport. Subsequently, Yadav was transported to Sector-21 in Dwarka. According to PTI, Ajay then escorted Yadav to an isolated apartment, where one of his associates was already present.
The situation took a sinister turn when, on the following day, four more individuals believed to be accomplices of Ajay joined them at the flat. They forcibly relocated Yadav to an isolated dairy firm in Bahadurgarh and subjected him to threats, demanding a ransom for his release. In a bid to secure his freedom, Yadav was compelled to reach out to his relatives, ultimately transferring Rs 2.7 lakh through five distinct UPI IDs.
Despite warnings against involving law enforcement, Yadav filed a formal complaint. At present, three individuals have been apprehended in connection with this incident.
