Well played 'Captain Cool': MS Dhoni surprises his fans, yet again

Former India captain and current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni posted a message on September 24 (Saturday) that created confusion among his legions of fans across the globe.

The captain cool, who is known for his calm demeanour and stoic approach amid tremendous pressures posted a creative on his Facebook and said that he would go live on his page to announce a big news on September 25. Over the years, it has been proved that India's most successful captain has a unique sense of humour and likes to stump his fans with cryptic messages.

Well, the latest message has had his fans in a tizzy as many expected that Dhoni might announce his retirement from franchise cricket also. This assumption left his fans perplexed and especially his CSK fans were so worried, as the great man has won the IPL titles 4 times for the franchise since 2008 and has also taken the team to new heights with his tremendous cricket acumen.


CSK had an ordinary last IPL season under the captaincy of Ravindra Jadeja, but the fans are hoping for a revival in the next season. It's not easy to fill Dhoni's shoes and fans must be hoping for another title victory this season under ‘Thala’, colloquially called by his fans, which in Tamil translates to leader. Luckily, things did not get worse for Dhoni's fans, as he stumped them again because the big news was not about his retirement but it was about a launch of a biscuit via live event.
