A poultry farm owner in Uttar Pradesh has lodged a police complaint after 140 chickens reportedly died at his farm. He has alleged that the deaths were caused by loud music from a DJ system used during a nearby wedding procession on the night of April 25.

Incident Reported in Sultanpur

The incident took place in Sultanpur district. That night, a wedding procession for the daughter of a local resident, Babban Vishwakarma, passed through the village. The procession originated from Ram Bhadra Purva in the Kudwar area and featured a DJ playing music at high volume.

Loud Music Triggered Panic Among Birds

Sabir Ali, who runs Sabir Ali Poultry Farm near the village, said the procession passed by his farm at around 9:30 PM. He claimed that the loud DJ music created panic among the chickens. According to him, the birds were unable to withstand the noise, leading to the death of 140 chickens.

Complaint Highlights High-Decibel Noise

In his police complaint, Sabir Ali described the sound as extremely loud and said it frightened the poultry, directly causing their deaths.

"The noise was so intense that the chickens got frightened and died," the complaint stated.

Police Register Case, Probe Underway

Following the complaint, police registered a case on Tuesday night against Kavi Yadav, a DJ operator from Parsipur. Authorities are now investigating whether the sound system exceeded permissible noise limits and examining the sequence of events.

Experts note that high-intensity sound waves can trigger severe stress reactions in birds and animals, sometimes even leading to cardiac arrest.

No Response Yet from Accused

The poultry farm owner has blamed the loud DJ music for the entire loss. Meanwhile, no immediate response has been received from the DJ operator or the family hosting the wedding procession.
