Weather updates today (July 27): IMD expects heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several states; check forecast here

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to extremely heavy rainfall across several parts of the country, with Chhattisgarh and Odisha likely to receive isolated extremely heavy showers. Heavy to very heavy rain is also expected over parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Konkan and Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra. Along with intense rainfall, the weather office has warned of thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds and thundersqualls in several states, while squally conditions are expected over the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, prompting caution for fishermen and coastal residents.

Additionally, IMD has issued a yellow warning for Jodhpur, expecting thunderstorm with rain. Maximum temperature is expected to be 34°C, minimum 27°C, with humidity between 48% and 65%.

For Ahmedabad, IMD expects thunderstorms with rain, lightning and gusty winds of 30–40 kmph. Temperatures are expected to range between 25°C and 30°C, with humidity between 60% and 85%.
