The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall across several parts of India, with isolated extremely heavy rain likely in Jharkhand. Bihar, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and West Uttar Pradesh are also expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall, while several other states may witness thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds.
