Weather today, November 2: IMD warns of heavy rain in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu; Delhi-NCR's AQI becomes 'severe'; check latest IMD update and AQI levels

Cyclone Murasu is expected to bring heavy to extremely heavy rainfall to several parts of southern and eastern India on Monday, November 2. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are among the states facing the highest weather alert, while Delhi-NCR is likely to have mainly clear skies and no rain.

Weather today, November 2: State-wise forecast

Andhra Pradesh weather today: Coastal Andhra Pradesh is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall, with extremely heavy rain at isolated places. Rayalaseema is also expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall. The cyclone is forecast to cross the south Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Narsapur, close to Ongole, between late Monday night and early Tuesday morning. Winds may reach 100–110 kmph, with gusts up to 120 kmph.

Telangana weather today: Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places across Telangana as Cyclone Murasu moves towards the Andhra Pradesh coast. Squally winds are also expected to affect parts of the state.


Tamil Nadu weather today: Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places. Strong winds and rough sea conditions are also expected along the north Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coast.

Chennai School, College Holiday Today: Chennai schools and colleges have been closed on November 2, due to rain. District Collector announces that this step is taken as a precautionary measure ahead of Northeast monsoon.

Odisha weather today: Isolated places in Odisha may receive heavy rainfall on Monday. The IMD has also warned of rough weather and strong winds in coastal areas as the cyclone approaches the Andhra Pradesh coast.

Chhattisgarh weather today: Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Chhattisgarh. The IMD has also warned of thunderstorms and gusty winds in parts of the state.

Kerala weather today: Isolated places in Kerala and Mahe may receive heavy rainfall on November 2.

Arunachal Pradesh weather today: Heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, according to the IMD forecast.

Karnataka weather today: South Interior Karnataka may receive heavy rainfall at isolated places. The weather department has also warned of thunderstorms and gusty winds in parts of the region.

Delhi-NCR weather today, November 2

IMD has forecast mainly clear skies across Delhi-NCR on Monday, with no rain expected. Maximum temperatures are likely to remain around 28–29°C, while minimum temperatures may range between 16°C and 18°C.

New Delhi weather today

New Delhi is likely to see mainly clear skies, with the temperature expected to range between 17°C and 29°C. No weather warning has been issued for the capital.

Noida weather today

Noida is likely to have clear skies and dry weather, with temperatures expected to remain within the broader NCR range of 16°C to 18°C for the minimum and 28°C to 29°C for the maximum.

Ghaziabad weather today

Ghaziabad is expected to experience mainly clear skies, with no rain forecast and temperatures likely to remain around 16°C to 18°C in the morning and 28°C to 29°C during the day.

Gurugram is likely to see clear skies on Monday, with temperatures expected to stay within the NCR range of 16°C to 18°C minimum and 28°C to 29°C maximum.

Faridabad is also expected to have mainly clear skies, with no rain forecast and daytime temperatures likely to reach around 28°C to 29°C.
