The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rainfall, thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds across several parts of the country on August 26. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain is also expected in multiple states across northwest, central, eastern, northeastern, western and southern peninsular regions. Check state wise forecast

Delhi-NCR Weather
Delhi-NCR is likely to remain generally cloudy today, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting very light to light rain from the forenoon to afternoon across Delhi, Noida, Gurugram and Ghaziabad.


Uttarakhand Weather
Uttarakhand is likely to experience rain and thunderstorms across several areas today, with the IMD warning of heavy rain at isolated places in Dehradun, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar. Thunderstorms, lightning and intense rain spells are also possible in parts of the state.

Odisha Weather
Odisha is likely to see rain and cloudy conditions today, with thunderstorms possible in parts of the state. There is a possibility of thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds in some areas.

Himachal Pradesh Weather
Rain and thundershowers are likely to remain possible over Himachal Pradesh through the coming days, although the intensity can vary between districts. Travellers and residents in hilly areas should remain alert for sudden heavy showers, lightning and difficult road conditions.

Rajasthan Weather
Rajasthan is likely to see rain and thunderstorm activity in parts of the state today. The IMD has issued a heavy-rain warning for East Rajasthan, along with the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning. West Rajasthan has no warning at present.

Jammu and Kashmir Weather
Jammu and Kashmir is expected to remain mostly dry and partly cloudy today, although weather conditions may change over the next few days. The IMD has Jammu city under no warning for August 26, while a broader weather alert indicates rainfall and thunderstorms are possible in parts of J&K.

Maharashtra Weather
Maharashtra is likely to see cloudy and breezy conditions with rain or thunderstorms in some areas today. The IMD has forecast widespread rainfall over Konkan and Goa through August 31, while Madhya Maharashtra may see isolated heavy rain on August 26.

Gujarat Weather Today
Gujarat is expected to see cloudy conditions with chances of thunderstorms and rain in parts of the state today. The IMD’s latest Gujarat bulletin forecasts light to moderate rain or thundershowers at isolated places across North Gujarat, parts of South Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch.

Bihar Weather Today
Bihar is expected to remain cloudy with rain and thunderstorms in several areas today. The IMD has issued a heavy-rain warning for August 26 and 27, along with the possibility of thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds.

Hyderabad Weather
Hyderabad is expected to remain partly cloudy today, with a chance of a thunderstorm during the afternoon.
