IMD forecasts heavy rain in Delhi, UP, Uttarakhand, Himachal, Punjab, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and more; check full forecast
According to the IMD, a low-pressure area over northern parts of central Uttar Pradesh is expected to weaken gradually over the next 24 hours. However, the prevailing monsoon systems are likely to continue bringing significant rainfall across north, central, east and northeast India.
IMD weather systems influencing July 11 forecast
The weather department said the following systems are influencing rainfall across the country:- A low-pressure area persists over northern parts of central Uttar Pradesh and is likely to weaken gradually.
- The western end of the monsoon trough remains near its normal position, while its eastern end lies north of its normal position.
- An upper air cyclonic circulation is present over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh.
- Two upper air cyclonic circulations continue over west Assam and northeast Assam.
- A western disturbance is active over north Pakistan and Punjab.
Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and north India weather tomorrow
The IMD has forecast isolated heavy rainfall over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on July 11.Heavy rainfall is also likely over:
- Uttarakhand
- Himachal Pradesh
- Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad
- West Uttar Pradesh
Uttar Pradesh weather tomorrow
Rainfall activity is expected to continue across Uttar Pradesh.According to the IMD:
- West Uttar Pradesh is likely to receive isolated heavy rainfall on July 11.
- East Uttar Pradesh is expected to witness widespread rainfall, with heavy rain forecast from July 12 onwards.
Madhya Pradesh and central India weather
Central India is also expected to remain under the influence of active monsoon conditions.For July 11, the IMD has forecast:
- Scattered rainfall over West Madhya Pradesh
- Scattered rainfall over East Madhya Pradesh
- Rain over Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh
Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha and east India forecast
Rainfall is likely to intensify across eastern India.The IMD has forecast:

South India weather tomorrow
Several southern states are expected to receive rain on July 11.According to the IMD:
- Coastal Karnataka is likely to witness widespread rainfall.
- Kerala and Mahe may continue to receive rainfall.
- Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal could experience thunderstorms and gusty winds.
- Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Karnataka are likely to witness thunderstorms with lightning and strong surface winds.
West India weather forecast
The IMD has forecast:- Widespread rainfall over Konkan and Goa.
- Scattered rainfall over Gujarat Region, Saurashtra & Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada.
IMD warns of thunderstorms and gusty winds
Apart from heavy rainfall, the weather department has warned of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds across several parts of the country.Wind speeds may reach 40–50 kmph, gusting to 60 kmph, in parts of north, central, eastern and southern India, while isolated areas could also witness strong surface winds.

The IMD has advised residents in regions likely to experience heavy rainfall and thunderstorms to remain alert, as intense rain may lead to waterlogging, reduced visibility and localised disruptions.
