A techie named Bhawna Chauhan has shared the personal experience that she says became the driving force behind her decision to work relentlessly and build a better life for her family.

In a lengthy post on X, Bhawna recalled how her family's financial circumstances changed seven years ago after her parents were forced to leave the house they were living in. She said the period became so difficult that she saw her father cry for the first time.

‘Sorry beta, we might not be able to give you the quality of education and life you deserve’

Bhawna said she still remembers her father telling her, "Sorry beta, we might not be able to give you the quality of education and life you deserve".

She said the words stayed with her, not because she blamed him, but because she witnessed her father lose confidence in himself because of the situation.

Bhawna was 16 or 17 years old at the time. She said she could not pursue engineering because her family could not afford it. Around then, she made a personal commitment to work as hard as she possibly could.

She said only God and her 16-year-old self know how difficult the following years were and how intensely she worked, driven by what had happened to her family.

Colleges that once seemed out of reach later invited her to speak

Bhawna said her journey eventually brought an unexpected turn. Some colleges where she had once been unable to study because of her family's financial situation later invited her to speak and conduct sessions for their students.

She described the development as one of the striking moments in her journey, particularly because those institutions had once been beyond her reach.

Family buys back same land without debt

Bhawna said life came full circle last year when her family bought back the same piece of land.

According to her, the decision was not made to prove anything to anyone, but to restore the confidence her parents had lost years earlier.

She said they bought the land without taking on any debt or EMI and built their dream home there from scratch.

Bhawna reflected that some experiences can hurt a person temporarily while completely changing the direction of their life.

She said she believes the 16-year-old version of herself would be proud of who she is becoming, and probably even more ambitious.

Looking back, she said the one message she would give her younger self is: "Keep going, We’re going to be okay".

Post draws praise on social media

Bhawna's story received supportive reactions from users on X. One person said they had first come across her on LinkedIn three years ago and had often wondered how she had achieved so much.

"Now after reading your story, I understand the strength behind it. You truly deserve it all. May God bless you," the user wrote, adding that the line "Keep going, we’re going to be okay" particularly resonated with them.

Another user praised Bhawna's determination, saying her hard work had helped elevate not only her own life but also that of her parents, and saluting her confidence and willpower.
