Today marks the final date for registration for the West Bengal State Eligibility Test, WB SET 2023. Last month, the West Bengal College Service Commission extended the registration deadline for the West Bengal State Eligibility Test until September 3. Interested candidates can complete their registration for SET 2023 on the official website of the Commission at wbcsconline.in.

The online application process for WB SET 2023 commenced on August 1, 2023. Originally, the deadline for registration for the State Eligibility Test was August 31, but it has been extended until September 3, 2023. According to the official notice, "The date for ONLINE APPLICATION of 25th SET has been extended till 3rd September 2023 at 12:00 midnight." The application correction window for registered candidates will be open from September 9 to 11. The WB SET 2023 is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 17, 2023, with admit cards expected to be issued in the last week of November.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must hold a Master's degree or equivalent from a UGC recognized University/ Institute with at least 55% marks. Those currently pursuing a Master's degree or awaiting the results of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.

Exam Pattern:
The WB TET 2023 will consist of two papers:

Paper-I: This paper will contain 50 objective-type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks. The questions will be of a general nature and intended to assess the teaching and research aptitude of the candidate.

Paper-II: This paper will comprise 100 objective-type compulsory questions, each carrying 2 marks, based on the subject chosen by the candidate. All questions in Paper – II will be compulsory.

2. On the homepage, click on the "Apply for STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST" link.
3. A new page will open; register yourself and complete the application form.
4. Upload the necessary documents and pay the application fee.
5. Download and print the application form for future reference.
