Watch video: Vijay Deverakonda spends a day with Indian soldiers

Since the release of his hugely popular films like "Arjun Reddy" and "Geeta Govindam," South Indian superstar Vijay Deverakonda has earned a national following. In a relatively short amount of time, the actor has been able to carve a niche for himself in the highly competitive Indian film industry. The actor recently had the chance to interact with the Jawans of the Indian Army.

Vijay posted a video on social media documenting his interactions with the URI Jawans. He can be seen learning about the lives of Jawans and practising rifle shooting. The superstar also enjoyed some games with kids and made an effort to participate in the live army training. He continued by thanking the Jawans and referring to them as his "Khuda ke Bande." He wrote the caption down: He stated that he is familiar with the unit and that if the situation calls for it, they will step up. He called them 'Khuda ke Bande!'. Deverakonda expressed his best wishes for their good health and long life and ended his note with Jai Hind.

Vijay had a terrific time with the Jawans during his visit and grabbed the stage to thank them. He stated that it is his wish that they (Jawans) never need to go into a battle or war. He added that he was "sincerely hoping none of you will ever experience a circumstance that puts your lives in danger." "Everybody should do so happily, with their loved ones at their sides," the superstar wished for the Jawans.
