Watch video: South Korean woman mesmerises Internet with her Indian classical dance performance

Recently, a video has gone viral on the Internet, showing a South Korean woman performing an Indian classical dance at a social function. A dancer named Beena Keum can be seen performing an Odissi dance gracefully, which leaves the audience in awe.

How it all started:

Beena Keum first saw this form of dance in Mira Nair's 2001 flick Kamasutra. It was a brief glimpse of this classic form that inspired Keum to learn it. She made up her mind to learn it. To fulfil her dream, she travelled all the way to India and learned it.

According to a report in the Hindustan Times, Beena Keum now travels to various places across the world and presents this dance form. It was her latest performance in front of the home audience, which has created a buzz on the Internet.

Following the tradition, Keum was dressed in a Patta saree to perform the dance. She executes every move with perfection and grace on a South Korean song complemented by Indian classical beats. She was also joined by an Indian woman on stage, who performed Kathak, another form of classical Indian dance, with her.

The video was shared by user @mylovefromkorea17 on Instagram.

The video has already received more than 1 lakh views and 20,000 likes. People were left speechless by Keum's flawless performance.

"That was so pretty and beautiful unni..being an Odia you made all of us proud..." a user commented. "Wow beautiful , I got goosebumps," the second user wrote. Another user commented, "Wow, this is amazing."
