Watch video: Frustrated over non-payment of dues, Noida contractor sets Mercedes car on fire

In a shocking incident, a 40-year-old construction contractor in Noida set a Mercedes car on fire, allegedly over non-payment of over Rs 2 lakhs in dues. The incident is reported from Noida's Gautam Buddha Nagar in Uttar Pradesh.

According to reports, the frustrated contractor had installed tiles at the house of Mercedes owner and he didn't get full wages for the same. The accused was unhappy over a long delay of payments and tried to take revenge and in a fit of rage, he set a Mercedes car on fire. The incident was reported from Noida's Sadarpur colony.

The owner of the Mercedes is identified as Ayush Chauhan, while the accused in the case is Ranveer, who lives in Roza Jalalpur village and belongs to Bihar.


The video of the incident has gone viral on social media and has received mixed reactions from the netizens. In the video, the accused can be seen pouring inflammable liquid over the car and setting it on fire, before fleeing the scene.

According to local reports, the accused wore a helmet to avoid getting recognised by the neighbours or people in the vicinity. But, it didn’t work. The entire episode was captured on CCTV camera and the police have started the investigation on the same after the accused was identified as Ranveer. The police have also contacted the Mercedes owner to get detailed information on the dispute.
