In this photo taken from video footage and released by Hangpai Xingyang, people with suitcases and bags are seen leaving from a Foxconn compound in Zhengzhou in central China's Henan Province on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022.

It hasn't been determined yet how many factory employees have already left the factory due to COVID restrictions.
Reports suggested that around 20,000 factory workers suffered from COVID, and cities had to be locked down due to the outbreaks, which possibly led to this mass exodus.

The Shanghai Disney Resort earlier reported that it would be closed starting October 31 for an extended period to comply with COVID prevention rules.

Reportedly, the Chinese public isn't happy due to the zero COVID policy. The strict policy mandates isolation, testing, and stringent lockdown procedures to curb the spread of disease. It is not clear whether the employees were fleeing or allowed to leave, but the overall situation has certainly drawn the attention of many.
