Watch: Vande Bharat clocks 183 km but glass filled to the brim with water stays stable
Vande Bharat is a semi-high-speed train. It is a self-propelled engine train, that is, it does not have a separate engine. It has automatic doors and air-conditioned chair car coaches and a revolving chair which can rotate up to 180 degrees.

During a trial run, the train clocked 180-183 kmph but it remained so stable that a glass filled with water to the brim remained as it is. A video shared by the Railways showed that glass did not shake even when the train was running at such high speed.
Take a look at the new Vande Bharat rake on trial run clocking 180-183 Kmph. A glass filled to the brim with water stays stable even as the train speeds at 180 Kmph," the Southern Railway tweeted while sharing the video.

Vande Bharat train is completely manufactured in India.
It is notable that this is a part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement on Independence Day last year that 75 new Vande Bharat trains would come upon the occasion of the completion of the country's 75 years of independence, connecting 75 big towns across the country.
According to reports, the new trains will have automatic fire sensors, CCTV cameras and GPS systems to make travelling safer and more comfortable. Integral Coach Factory has set a target of manufacturing 75 Vande Bharat trains by August 2023.
According to reports, travelling in Vande Bharat trains would be more comfortable because of the lighter coaches than the previous trains. Its coaches are made of stainless steel. Due to less weight, the passengers would feel extra comfortable even at high speed. Also, there are automatic gates operated by the pilot. The windows are wide, there is more space for the luggage. The toilet installed will be advanced. Most of the parts of the trains are "Made in India" except for a few small parts.
The two Vande Bharat trains which are operational are in between New Delhi-Varanasi and New Delhi-Vaishnodevi Katra.
