— ANI (@ANI) 1665061360000As per reports, a woman and her granddaughter, who had boarded the local train from Thane, and another woman who boarded the train at Koparkhairane were waiting for a seat to get vacant. When the seat got vacant at Turbhe railway station, the grandmother attempted to let her granddaughter take the seat. At the same time, the other woman also tried to occupy the seat. This triggered a heated clash between the women passengers, later they started slapping and hitting each other. Soon, some of the other passengers also got involved in the brawl, resulting in an ugly scuffle inside the women's compartment.
At least three women, including the policewoman, have reportedly suffered injuries during the fight. The policewoman, who tried to intervene to resolve the dispute, was also injured when some women passengers attacked her. In the video, two women passengers can be seen bleeding profusely from their head injuries.
As per reports, Mumbai police have arrested a 27-year-old woman commuter for assaulting a GRP constable and a co-passenger. Both the accused are booked under sections 353, 332 and 504 of IPC for assaulting a public servant on duty.
