In a shocking discovery, Madhya Pradesh Police has discovered a hand pump that was pumping out liquor instead of water. The incident happened in Guna disctrict of Madhya Pradesh when the police raided two villages for suspected illegal liquor operation.

The police team was shocked when they found out that a hand-pump was giving out liquor instead of water. Police found tanks filled with illicit liquor buried about 7 feet deep inside the ground.



The illegal liquor seller had buried the drums of liquor in the ground, at a distance of few hundred meters from their residences and then installed a hand-pump over it which was connected with the drum containing liquor.

As per police a total of around 1200 liters of illegal liquor was seized during the raid. The police said that the liquor was seized from the houses too, but a large amount was found buried in the soil. A total of around 1200 liters of liquor was seized and more than 400 liters of liquor was seized from the drum buried inside the ground.

As many as 2,600 persons have so far been booked for operating illegal liquor business in Madhya Pradesh under the state government's 'Nashamukti' operation launched recently.

Over 2,500 persons involved in the illegal business of drugs and liquor were detained, while over 200 people were booked under Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act. Similarly, around 200 people were booked under Tobacco Prohibition Act. As per the official information, around 2,500 locations were raided since Saturday.

Superintendents of Police (SPs) of all districts in the state, besides submitting the details of actions to the Police Headquarters in Bhopal, also uploaded it on social media accounts, mentioning that the action was carried on the direction of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
