Nitish Kumar is away in Delhi for meeting Opposition leaders, and 33-year-old Tejashwi showed that he was very much in charge of the administration.
The hospitals where the deputy CM conducted surprise checks included PMCH, the state's largest government health facility, apart from hospitals at Gardiner Road and Gardani Bagh, PTI reported.
The clips of his visits played on TV channels drew parallels to the hero of Nayak, the 2001 Anil Kapoor starrer which is about a CM shaking up the system.
