— ANI (@ANI) 1664433379000Chopra is in the Gujarat city to take part in the opening ceremony of the 36th National Games on September 29. He won't be taking part in the National Games though.
The Games are being held across six cities of Gujarat -- Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and Bhavnagar.
In other videos, he could be seen interacting from the stage to a noisy crowd, shouting out,"kem chho" to them. Crowds gathered at the venue for the Navratri celebrations were surprised to see him, and they showed their appreciation by chanting his name.

He broke the national record for javelin throw twice, and he won the silver medal at the World Athletics Championships. He however did not take part in the Commonwealth Games.
After the Diamond League in Zurich, Chopra spent a two-week vacation in Switzerland, going for adventure sports like skydiving and jetboating. He also recently shared a picture on social media of him posing with his javelin in the Swiss Alps.
The champion athlete gifted his gold-medal winning javelin from the Tokyo Games 2020 to The Olympic Museum in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Neeraj Chopra's javelin joined the Hall of Fame, sharing the spotlight with other equally legendary items from India like the hockey stick of Dhyan Chand from the 1936 Berlin Games, the boxing gloves of Mary Kom, and Abhinav Bindra's triumphant rifle from Beijing 2008.
