ANI reported that the landslide on the highway on Friday led to the closure of the route to Adi Kailash Mansarovar which goes via Najang Tamba village. 40 tourists and local are reported to be stuck there.
The 1.06 min video tweeted by ANI showed the tons of tock and soil come crashing down shortly after a person rushed by below.

Around 400 pilgrims from Rajasthan's Bhilwara, Ajmer and other places were returning from Gangotri Dham when they got trapped due to a landslide near Gabnani in Uttarkashi. No casualty has been reported so far and all the passengers are safe.
The road between Uttarkashi and Harshil (Halgu Guard and Gabnani) has been blocked due to landslides since last evening due to excessive rainfall in the area. Many pilgrims from other states are stranded at the spot, according to the Uttarakhand administration.
Reports said the Rishikesh-Gangotri National Highway was blocked by falling rocks near Helgugad and Swarigad in Uttarkashi, apart from the Vikasnagar-Kalsi-Barkot National Highway in Dehradun district.
On Thursday, the National Highway (NH)- 109 at Rudraprayag was blocked with long queues of vehicles after a sudden landslide caused tons of rocks and soil to plunge to the road below.
An orange alert for very heavy rainfall is on in Uttarakhand for the upcoming two days, senior scientist of India Metrological Department (IMD), RK Jenamani, told ANI.
"Orange alert for very heavy rainfall issued for Uttarakhand from 23rd to 25th Sept. Rain is expected to increase over western UP tomorrow," Jenamani said.
