Kempty Fall video
Kempty Falls, a well-known tourist spot in Mussoorie, is overflowing due to recent heavy rainfall in Uttarakhand. Videos circulating on social media show the waterfall at a high flow, raising concerns among viewers.

The forceful water flow carried debris and stones into the waterfall from nearby hills. The video of the "ferocious" waterfall quickly spread online.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Uttarkashi district for the next three days. The alert forecasts heavy rain, hailstorms, and snowfall. Similar weather is expected in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh, and Bageshwar districts. The alert also warns of possible hail, thunder, and strong winds in some areas.

Nainital and other regions of Uttarakhand have experienced continuous rainfall over the past week. The persistent rain has caused temperatures to drop, leading many tourists to cancel their travel plans. School schedules have also been disrupted.

Local authorities have been instructed to be on high alert. Residents are advised to avoid unnecessary travel and follow safety guidelines.
