Watch: Cristiano Ronaldo's sweet gesture to young fan is winning the Internet

A little boy in Moldova broke through a security cordon to meet his hero Cristiano Ronaldo and was rewarded with a hug from the superstar.

It happened when Ronaldo was in Moldova's capital city Chisinau recently as Manchester United faced FC Sheriff in their second group match of Europa League.

As the team bus was getting ready to leave for the match a little boy wearing a number 7 jersey - Ronaldo's number - pushed past two security personnel to go near the player.


Despite one of them trying to grab him by the arm the tenacious kid broke through and reached Ronaldo who instinctively hugged him.

And what's more, Ronaldo took the boy inside the team bus, apparently to introduce him to the other players in the team.

It was a dream come through for the young boy, and a video of the incident is going viral on social media after it was shared by the fan account 'The CR7 Timeline'.

Most of those who responded lauded by the boy for his tenacity and the Portugal star for his generous gesture.

"Kudos to that relentless kid. Hahahah" tweeted one. "What a biggest personality. What a brand .. Simply G.O.A.T things," said another.
