Delhi Police arrests Aditya and Anjali, aka 'spiderman' and 'spiderwoman,' in Najafgarh for Motor Vehicles Act violations after a viral video. The duo's stunts, shared on Instagram, sparked controversy for their risky nature.

The Delhi Police has arrested two persons, including a woman, under Motor Vehicles Act from Najafgarh after a video went viral on social media in which the duo can be seen doing stunts in the costume of spiderman and spiderwoman. The accused have been identified as Aditya (20) and Anjali (19), both are residents of Najafgarh.

"Two persons were riding a bike and wearing Spiderman costumes. An inquiry into the matter was conducted and the riders have been booked under sections different sections of the Motor Vehicle (MV) Act for offences without a helmet, without a mirror, without a licence, dangerous driving and not displaying a number plate etc," a senior police officer told news wire agency PTI.

Delhi police arrested the duo on Friday for various Motor Vehicle Act violations such as riding without a helmet, mirror, license, and displaying no number plate.


Aditya, 20, known as "spiderman," and his 19-year-old friend Anjali, aka "spiderwoman," shared a video on Instagram titled "Spiderman Najafgarh Part 5," displaying their superhero personas during a bike ride in Delhi.

During the stunt, the couple even went on to imitate the 'titanic pose' on Dwarka streets, South West Delhi.

Aditya, who goes by Indian Spidey Official on Instagram, often posts videos showcasing his adventures and unique persona, drawing attention from locals and social media users.

In the viral video, Aditya can be seen riding various bikes including a bullet.

A senior police officer stated, "Two persons were riding a bike and wearing Spiderman costumes." The duo's actions have stirred controversy due to the risky nature of their stunts.

Under the Motor Vehicles Act, fines vary from Rs 500 to even Rs 1,00,000. For dangerous driving, the penalty is Rs 5,000 and for driving without helmets, the fine is Rs 1,000 and your licence could be revoked for three months as well.
