Watch: A cop's quirky way to spread awareness about helmet gets a thumbs up from netizens

It's a common sight on Indian roads to see people riding a two-wheeler without wearing a helmet. Obviously, this is the reason why so many people lose their lives on the roads just by avoiding the helmet.

For many, riding a motorcycle without a helmet is about expressing freedom, while some find it cumbersome to wear something on the head - which could actually save their lives. The cops across India opt for new and innovative methods to spread awareness about wearing helmets.

Recently, a hilarious video has surfaced on Twitter, which has garnered many reviews and left the twitterati in splits with its unique take on the matter.


The video is shared by a user named Jaiky Yadav, in which a police officer opts for interesting method to create awareness about the helmet.

"This brother would not have even been dressed with so much respect, at his wedding," the user posted the video with this caption in Hindi.



In the short clip, a police officer confronts a man, who is riding a bike without wearing a helmet. The cop not only puts the helmet on the rider's head but also explains traffic rules to him in a funny way by chanting a few mantras (hymns).

The cop further urged the rider to wear the helmet and explained that if he was caught again without helmet, he would be fined heftly for violating traffic rules.

The rider looked convinced and made a promise that he would always wear a helmet in future while riding.

The clip has gone viral on twitter and has received more than 9,000 likes and 191,000 views.

Many users have applauded the efforts of the police officer and left interesting comments.

One user also claimed that the name of the cop is Bhagwat Prasad Pandey.
