Watch: 3 feet height difference earns US couple Guinness World Record

You must have heard about the Guinness World Record on the tallest man and woman in the world or the shortest man and woman, but have you heard about a record on height difference between a couple? When it comes to physical features, people comment or share their views online about their favourite celebrity couples, friends or even strangers. Sometings, it is these striking physical attributes that make a couple stand-out among others.

Recently, Christie Chandler and Senecca Corsetti, a married couple made it to the Guinness World Record for the greatest height differential of a married couple (same sex/women) when their height difference of 2 feet, 9.44 inches.

Moreover, the couple from St. George city in Utah, U.S, also became the first same sex couple to be considered by the record keeping organisation for this achievement.


Christie, who stands at 5 ft 11.74 in (182.22 cm), is 2 ft 9.44 in (84.94 cm) taller than her wife Senecca, who measures 3 ft 2.29 in (97.28 cm), verified by Guinness World Record on its website.

Senecca has a physical disorder called diastrophic dysplasia, which causes dwarfism as it affects the normal growth of bones and cartilage of the body.

While talking about the record, Christie said that she got to know about a Guinness World Record of a married couple (different sexes/taller women) on greatest height difference and decided to apply for the same in a same sex category.

“I was like 'Oh my gosh, we crushed that record,” Christie said while talking about the record and recognition.

Christie and Senecca, both are teachers and they got married in June 2021. It all started during a meeting between the duo at the same school, where Christie teaches art and Senecca is a maths teacher. As fate had it, the couple found love for each other and decided to live together as a couple. Despite the height difference, both have found a few interesting things common between them like love for teaching, art and sport.

The teacher couple has been receiving full support from their coworkers, who call them the cutest couple. In fact, many of their LGBT students have found inspiration and comfort in the story of Christie and Senecca, who have had to face a few big challenges in this relationship, but they have taken every challenge in their stride to move forward in life.
