Vivo V80 Lite launch date.

Vivo is bringing the V80 Lite to the global market with a feature that is becoming increasingly important for smartphone buyers: a 10,000mAh battery.

Vivo V80 Lite launch date will be on September 3, 2026, at 7pm local time, according to Vivo's announcement. The lanch will be in Malaysia. That works out to 4:30pm IST.

The 10,000mAh cell is the main attraction. Vivo has previously used an even larger 10,200mAh battery in the Y600 Pro in China, but that phone did not receive a launch outside the country. The V80 Lite is therefore expected to be Vivo's first phone with a 10,000mAh battery to launch internationally.

What will Vivo V80 Lite look like?

Vivo has already revealed some details of the Malaysian model.

The phone is expected to come with a flat frame and flat rear panel, moving away from the curved design seen in an earlier Indian teaser. It is expected to be available in black, green and pink, although the Malaysian launch materials prominently show the pink and green versions.

A square camera module will sit on the rear, with a 50MP primary camera confirmed among the phone's key features.

Expected Vivo V80 Lite specifications

Several specifications are still based on leaks and certification listings, so they should not be treated as final.

The V80 Lite could feature a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Reports have also tipped a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 32MP selfie camera.

Other expected features include stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint sensor and IP68/IP69 protection.

The chipset is less certain because different versions of the phone appear to be in development. One Geekbench listing points to the Dimensity 7300e with 6GB RAM, while another variant has been linked to the Dimensity 7360 Turbo and 8GB RAM.

This suggests that Vivo could use different hardware configurations in different markets.

How fast will the 10,000mAh battery charge?

This is another area where the phone's final specifications matter.

Earlier reports had suggested 90W charging, but certification information has pointed towards 44W fast charging. A recent Geekbench and certification-based report also links the Malaysian model to 44W charging.

That could be an important trade-off. A 10,000mAh battery should offer excellent endurance, but its usefulness will also depend on how quickly users can recharge such a large cell.

Will Vivo V80 Lite launch in India?

An India launch is not confirmed yet.

The phone had earlier appeared on an Indian retailer's Instagram page, raising speculation that Vivo could bring it to India. However, the design shown for Malaysia is different from the earlier Indian teaser, suggesting that Vivo may use different versions of the V80 Lite across markets.

For now, the confirmed launch is the September 3 Malaysia event.
