Social media reaction

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “People seem to have forgotten how to live in the moment. If work is that important, then finish it before heading to the movies. I recently watched Dhurandhar in Hitech City and it felt like a meeting at the cinema hall, the crowd was so silent even during the best scenes, it was suffocating."

Another shared, “I’m doing WFH, since COVID. It’s been 6 years now and I’ve been on the road continuously since then (thanks to WFH). Because of that, I have to take calls or attend meetings from anywhere and I have done that as well. Be it mountain top, waterfalls, marriage, cafes, treks etc, but never opened my laptop in a movie theatre. It seems now I have to do that now."

“Ruining movie experience for all. After lights out, this becomes distracting. Civic sense to sir leave pe gaya hai," a comment read.

An individual stated, “Its not corporate majdoori. Might be the employee didn’t wait for the weekend and had night shift or he could take the day off if the movie was more important, but he/she wanted to use office hours for movies."

Another mentioned, “I was in same place during Dhurandhar 1. Inox didn’t let me carry my laptop in, had to miss first part of the movie and continued the rest on phone messages while watching Dhurandhar."

A person wrote, "They [corporate bosses] don't know the pain of joining the meeting right from the club." Another one mentioned that they feel blessed because their company took them for a Dhurandhar screening.

Another user said that there is a possibility that the person might be on a night shift. They might be in the middle of their shift while enjoying Dhurandhar 2. A netizen wrote, "Work from anywhere has gone too far now."

Another person mentioned, "This is exactly what burnout looks like, even movies are not a break anymore." A sixth person said, "Honestly, I feel bad. People cannot even disconnect for two hours."

Another commented, "Why come to a theatre if you have to work. Just stay home." An eighth person quipped, "Deadlines do not care if Ranveer Singh is on screen."
