Tata Motors recently launched its highly anticipated Punch EV, a compact SUV, on January 17, starting at Rs 10.99 lakh. The electric vehicle boasts certified driving ranges of 315 km and 421 km for its two configurations, with seating for five passengers. The Punch EV, with 190 mm ground clearance, is positioned as a direct competitor to the Citroen eC3 and rivals like the MG Comet EV and Tata Tiago EV in the entry-segment EV market. Deliveries are set to commence from January 22, offering consumers an exciting electric option.
On the other hand, Hyundai India unveiled its all-new Creta compact SUV on January 16, with a starting price of Rs 10,99,900. Featuring seven variants, including E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX(O), the Creta offers three engine options: 1.5l Kappa Turbo GDi Petrol, 1.5l MPi Petrol, and 1.5l U2 CRDi Diesel engine. The SUV provides four transmission options, including 6-speed Manual, IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission), 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission), and 6-speed Automatic transmission.
