Indian cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar celebrated Ganeshotsav by immersing the Ganesh idol in an eco-friendly manner with Ganesh Visarjan after one and a half days. Tendulkar posted a video on his official X handle where he, along with his family, celebrated the festival at their residence in Mumbai. Sachin shared his sentiments in a heartfelt message to followers.

"Bappa, the joy, peace, and love you have blessed us with will remain forever. Come early next year! Ganpati Bappa Morya! Mangalmurti Morya!" Tendulkar wrote on X.



Sachin Tendulkar, renowned for his illustrious cricketing career, played 200 Test matches for India, amassing 15,921 runs with a top score of unbeaten 248 runs. In One-Day Internationals, he participated in 463 matches, scoring 18,426 runs, including an unbeaten 200-run inning. Tendulkar also featured in a single T20I, scoring 10 runs.

The cricket icon last represented India on November 14, 2013, in a Test match against the West Indies. His career is decorated with numerous international records, making him one of the most celebrated cricket figures globally. Among his remarkable achievements, he stands out as the first and only player in cricket history to score 100 international centuries—a record yet to be matched.

In 2023, Virat Kohli surpassed Tendulkar's record for the most ODI centuries, achieving 50 tons at Wankhede Stadium. Tendulkar previously held the record with 49 centuries in the format. Since Tendulkar's retirement, it is widely considered that he passed the torch of Indian cricket to Kohli.

Apart from his international career, Tendulkar also played for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he was a crucial part of the team. Nowadays, he continues to make his presence felt in the cricketing world through his commentary during Team India and IPL matches.
