The cricket icon last represented India on November 14, 2013, in a Test match against the West Indies. His career is decorated with numerous international records, making him one of the most celebrated cricket figures globally. Among his remarkable achievements, he stands out as the first and only player in cricket history to score 100 international centuries—a record yet to be matched.
In 2023, Virat Kohli surpassed Tendulkar's record for the most ODI centuries, achieving 50 tons at Wankhede Stadium. Tendulkar previously held the record with 49 centuries in the format. Since Tendulkar's retirement, it is widely considered that he passed the torch of Indian cricket to Kohli.
